Protein nitration is one example that takes place on tyrosine residues which can have important consequences for the regulation of biological processes. Protein nitration assays are widely used in many research areas including but not limited to biochemistry , biotechnology , cell biology , microbiology , and molecularbiology.
I’ve chosen these two because I think they are the linchpin by which we’ll be able to build broadly useful AI models for cell and molecularbiology. But looking ahead to the second bottleneck, what does it mean to say that biology is “complex”? In short, culture is an oft-overlooked bottleneck.
