Not all neoantigens are created equal

Drug Target Review

These newly formed mutated proteins are called neoantigens and they are only present on tumour cells and are not found in normal, healthy cells. Findings from a leading-edge study called TRACERx have demonstrated how mutations that occur very early in the process of cancer genesis remain present in all cells of a growing tumour.

The first major set of genetic associations found in long COVID

Drug Target Review

This is likely indicative of the heterogeneous nature of the disorder, and it is this complexity and diversity of clinical presentation and effects across multiple organ systems, that has made efforts to identify genetic risk factors using traditional genomic analysis approaches extremely challenging.

LINC00460 knockdown sensitizes cervical cancer to cisplatin by downregulating TGFBI

Chemical Biology and Drug Design

In present study, LINC00460 was screened out through bioinformatics analysis. The prognostic value of long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) LINC00460 has been reported in cervical cancer. However, its effect on DDP sensitivity in cervical cancer remains poorly understood.

Hsa?miR?503?5p regulates CTDSPL to accelerate cisplatin resistance and angiogenesis of lung adenocarcinoma cells

Chemical Biology and Drug Design

Hsa-miR-503-5p expression in LUAD and the target gene downstream of hsa-miR-503-5p was predicted by bioinformatics analysis. The results showed that hsa-miR-503-5p showed high expression, while its target gene CTDSPL presented decreased expression in LUAD. Hsa-miR-503-5p also had high expression in cisplatin-resistant LUAD cells.

Malaria unravelled: decoding the parasite’s gene expression control

Drug Target Review

This finding was extended to the research of the organelle-nucleus communication and also connected to the present finding of the nuclear-encoded sigma factor in Plasmodium apicoplast. The first identification was based on a bioinformatic analysis. What is the role of the apicoplast in the malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum ?
