Pharmaceutical Care Management Association , the Court recognized that state legislatures have important powers to regulate abuses of corporate healthcare middlemen, called Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs). In Rutledge v. Attorneys general from 45 states filed briefs opposing the PBM industry.
