EC approves new combination treatment for NSCLC

The European Commission (EC) has approved Braftovi (encorafenib) in combination with Mektovi (binimetinib) for the treatment of adult patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with a BRAFV600E mutation. The EC decision followw a positive opinion from the Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) issued on 25 July. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the combination treatment for adults with BRAFV600E mutant metastatic NSCLC in October 2023.
