Remimazolam attenuates inflammation in bronchopneumonia through the inhibition of NLRP3 activity by PDPK1 ubiquitination

Chemical Biology and Drug Design

Remimazolam suppressed NLRP3 activity to reduce inflammation level in model of bronchopneumonia by the inhibition of PDPK1 ubiquitination by interlinked PDPK1 protein, as a novel drug for inflammation in model of bronchopneumonia or other pulmonary disease. Abstract Bronchopneumonia is the most common pneumonia in childhood. Therefore, we tested the effects of Remimazolam presented Bronchopneumonia and its possible mechanisms.

Oxidant-dependent Sensitizing, Protective and Mitigative Effects in X-ray Irradiated Pulmonary Endothelial Cells [Toxicology]

ASPET

The primary response of proliferating BPAEC (bovine pulmonary artery endothelial cells) after x-ray irradiation ({less than or equal to} 10 Gy) is shown to be transient cell-cycle arrest. Accompanying oxidant-linked functional changes within the mitochondria are readily measured, but not increased autophagy. Radiation-induced apoptosis is negligible in this line - important, because cells undergoing apoptosis release oxygen-derived species that can overwhelm/mask the radiation-associated species

Thalidomide suppresses migration and invasion of colorectal cancer cells by inhibiting HOXB7?mediated activation of the Wnt/??catenin signaling pathway

Chemical Biology and Drug Design

Thalidomide dwindled CRC cell migration and invasion. HOXB7 upregulation was detected in CRC cells, which promoted CRC cell migration, invasion, and β-catenin expression. Also, HOXB7 upregulation abrogated the effects of thalidomide on CRC cells. Collectively, thalidomide inhibits migration and invasion of CRC cells, which is achieved by suppressing HOXB7-mediated activation of Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway.

A Potential Antidote for both Azide and Cyanide Poisonings [Toxicology]

ASPET

There do not appear to be any established therapeutics for treating azide poisoning at this time and presently available antidotes to cyanide poisoning are far from ideal, being particularly impractical for use if multiple victims present. The cobalt (II/III) complex of the Schiff-base ligand trans -[14]-diene (5,7,7,12,14,14-hexamethyl-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradeca-4,11-diene (or "CoN 4 [14]") first synthesized by Curtis(Curtis, 1968) for other purposes, is shown to act as an effective antido

Chemical Biology and Drug Design

The mechanism schematic model by matrine/miR-495-3p/miR-543/PDK1/Wnt/β-catenin pathway in AML. Abstract Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a commonly hematological malignancy with feature of rapidly increased immature myeloid cells in bone marrow. The anti-tumor activity of matrine has been reported in various cancers. However, the functional role of matrine in AML progression still needs to be studied.
