Anti?tumor efficacy of emodin on colorectal cancer cells via targeting lncRNA HLA complex P5

Chemical Biology and Drug Design

Emodin is a naturally occurring anthraquinone derivative with a variety of pharmacologic effects, but its role in colorectal cancer (CRC) has hardly been investigated. The current findings showed that emodin repressed the viability, migration, and invasion of CRC cells and suppressed EMT via inhibition of HCP5 expression. Abstract Emodin is a naturally occurring anthraquinone derivative with a variety of pharmacologic effects, but its role and regulatory mechanism in colorectal cancer (CRC) rema

Involvement of extracellular vesicles in the proinflammatory response to clozapine: implications for clozapine-induced agranulocytosis [Toxicology]

ASPET

Most idiosyncratic drug reactions (IDRs) appear to be immune-mediated, but mechanistic events preceding severe reaction onset remain poorly defined. Damage-associated molecular patterns (DAMPs) may contribute to both innate and adaptive immune phases of IDRs, and changes in extracellular vesicle (EV) cargo have been detected post-exposure to several IDR-associated drugs.

Discovery of novel chromone and acrylate?based pancreatic lipase inhibitors: Molecular modelling, synthesis, and in vitro evaluation for the treatment of obesity

Chemical Biology and Drug Design

A novel series of chromone and acrylate-based PL inhibitors were designed with the analogue 9a , being potent of the series, exhibiting IC 50 of 3.32 ± 0.224 μM. Also, the fluorescence quenching and enzyme kinetics study proved the competitive nature of inhibition. Abstract By the optimization of previously established pancreatic lipase (PL) inhibitory lead, we have developed novel chromone-containing analogues with embedded acrylate fragment as potential PL inhibitors.
